We've just made the new Adrian Burrows site live. Adrian is a Birmingham-based photographer. Visit his site to see some examples of his fine work:

At the request of Media Dog we spent a day plugged in to produce the music for their online showreel. It's been a while since I picked up a guitar but thankfully Chris is in good rhythm at the moment. Anyway, plenty of rough cuts and ditched riffs later we have our final piece, edited down for the purposes of the showreel. That was fun.

I don't know how it happened, I'm not even sure where it came from, but yesterday I returned from lunch to find we had a new office addition. At least it's given us a new location for our waste paper bin/maybe pile...

I'm happy to announce that the long awaited Creative Republic website is now online. The site is initially an information based website supporting the very popular Created in Birmingham blog. It contains information about who is involved, what we're trying to do and how you can get involved. Take a look and sign up to the RSS feed or email list so you can keep up to date with what is going on in Birmingham's creative sector.

Congratulations to Pete at Created in Birmingham for his excellent work over the past year and his recent nomination/joint win in the Media Guardian Innovation Awards. The blog has been an obvious success and is a fine example to others of the effectiveness and usefulness of a well written, well targeted blog.

Created in Birmingham is for 'Linking up Birmingham’s Artistic and Creative Communities'. This means a much improved visual awareness of the Creative Sector in Birmingham, certainly within the sector itself, where previously a much more segmented community existed. The blog is the first port of call for hundreds in and around Birmingham for anything creative within the city region and if you don't read it already then I would highly recommend it. It's not exclusive, so if you don't work in the sector don't feel that it's not for you, far from it, there's so much going on in Birmingham everyone should read this blog and realise just what they might be missing!
So well done again on the award, one of many to come I suspect.

Friday afternoon and a lighting rig setup in our adjoining factory gave us the chance to take the long time planned biography photos for the Adhere website. I wouldn't call these outtakes especially, but they're not found it onto the 'official' biogs page. Here we see Kam reliving saturday evenings of his childhood watching his hero - the Fonz - from Happy Days.

Congrats to 'Lord' Chris who today made it as Virgin Radio's 'VIP of the Day' on the Virgin interactive website. Now I've not been as avid a follower of Virgin Radio as Chris has so I may not be as well versed as him in his lordly duties as a bonefied VIP, and I am sure he will correct me if I am wrong. As far as I can see the benefits of being the VIP of the Day are:
As far as I can tell from a day's sitting in the presence of 'the honoured one' it does not encourage you to:
Well, we'll see tomorrow if he comes back down to earth with a bump.

Fair play to the new boy. We chucked him in the deep end, in front of the greenscreen with a script snippet from The Flirting Club to do a short audition for www.itsourmovie.com. One direction - make it camp! Done splendidly and with much hilarity.

Yes, indeed, two weeks in and the 'New Kid' is doing well. A note about his shiny new imac, that's the way the apple crumbles my friend. Be a very good boy and I may buy you a new mousemat to heal the wound. I'm delighted to say Jason has fitted in splendidly. The new year workload is just as packed as before christmas so there's no time for 'feeling your way in'. Thankfully this has not been needed and Jas has jumped straight in with immediate effect. Despite a habit of ruining our lunchtime crossword with his over effective encyclopedic knowledge and as taste for 'posh' tea I think Jas will make an excellent addition to the Adhere team. He even seems to understand Chris, to some degree...
