So, after very nearly freezing my jacobs off on the way in, on yet another uncommonly cold winter's morn, I finally pitched up at the office for my first day of work as the new "User Interface Designer" – yes, indeedy! ...
After a few minutes coming to terms with the slightly devastating news that my shiny, new iMac was in fact now Karl's shiny, new iMac, I spent a little time drinking tea, meeting the crew and attempting to mold my seat to match the shape of my stern, as far as was possible. I find that today's hectic society often neglects to accommodate priorities such as these – for shame, I say.
And so, feeling suitably settled, I booted up my slightly less shiny and new (but still rather lovely) iMac and got down to the business of work, in earnest.
Two weeks on and I'm still here, so I guess I've not contravened any "sackable offence" regulations thus far. Can only be a good thing!
Jason.
