Congrats to 'Lord' Chris who today made it as Virgin Radio's 'VIP of the Day' on the Virgin interactive website. Now I've not been as avid a follower of Virgin Radio as Chris has so I may not be as well versed as him in his lordly duties as a bonefied VIP, and I am sure he will correct me if I am wrong. As far as I can see the benefits of being the VIP of the Day are:

• You get your ugly mug on the VR homepage
• You get to spout your words of wisdom and point your loyal followers to websites you recommend
• You blog, people respond. Standard VIP practice surely?

As far as I can tell from a day's sitting in the presence of 'the honoured one' it does not encourage you to:

• Show Lordly humility to your lessers (still picked on Kam)
• Make tea for your workmates

Well, we'll see tomorrow if he comes back down to earth with a bump.
